Reviews about McPherson Veterinary Services

Great customer and pet service. Vet displayed superb quality of examination/interaction and knowledge. Relatively reasonable cost of examination (I.e., under $50). I recommend McPherson veterinary services, however I haven't been to any other vet service in Murfreesboro.

Long review: sorry but a lot has happened in the past month. This is hard to write as we put our absolute trust into Dr Mcpherson! I want to start by saying the one thing we loved about her was our first visit she sat in the floor with our dogs to make them feel comfortable. I knew then she would be our vet. When we got our puppy we took him there of course and everything was going well! Then it started to get iffy. Every visit we told her our Gizmo trying to drink any water in sight. We had to limit his water intake because he wouldn’t stop drinking. She just shrugged it off as if it was nothing and looked at us like we were crazy for limiting his water. We would mention at every visit and she still just acted like it was nothing to worry about so we didn’t worry. Then comes our next problem. Our youngest dog started getting hot spots. We took him in and didn’t even get close to look at the dog and we were told something is in the air and were given antibiotics and steroids. A week later more hot spots and we noticed his ears just smelled horrible. After taking him back again same thing didn’t look at it or even look at his ears. Still not better we took him back a third time. By this time we were getting frustrated cause it seemed they just wanted to just half ass and go on. So after a 4TH VISIT she gave us the same excuse something is in the air and we had to tell her no his ears smell horrible and this keeps happening so she finally tested his ears and they were full of yeast! So after spending $150 or more we Still didn’t get enough answers. A week later...overnight gizmo was covered from ears down his front and his neck with these. I took him to the emergency vet and they were great and did a few test, gave him antibiotics, and another shot that’s newer to see if it would help with the breakouts and even scraped a couple of the hotspots to test them. They couldn’t believe she didn’t even touch the dog. Gizmo got a lot better after that. Something seemed off so we opted for a second opinion cause his poor ears still looked bad. He also couldn’t believe she didn’t even look or suggest a few test. The newer vet diagnosed him with vasculitis and gave him a rx and so far his ears are looking better. The newer vet was also worried about the obsessive drinking so he tested his urine and it didn’t come back good so he did blood test because he was afraid of diabetes insipidus. Blood work should that was all good but his other levels were horrible. He consulted with another vet and said if he seen this level without seeing the dog he would think the dog is dying! Gizmo isn’t though thankfully. Now we are having to run more test to figure out what’s wrong. Our new vet said if it was tested earlier we wouldn’t have such a problem with it now! He described gizmo having an unquinchable thirst! The poor dog has been like this for almost 3 years thanks to Dr Mcpherson not caring. Like some others have said she can be condescending, seem to not care what you are saying sometimes. We still don’t have an answer! So now we have to put our poor dog through tons of testing to help make his life better when some of this could have been avoided if she would have just done her job in the first place. But our new vet now calls and goes over every single blood test with us and keeps us updated on everything he is doing So finally I would not take my pets to her. Take your dog somewhere else. Sure it might cost more to go to other vets but atleast they try and care to help you with your pets! Savannah’s Crossing Vet has been wonderful so far! I hate this has happened cause we thought we had found our vet, but seems she has lost her reason as why she became a vet.

Great. Had to have my cocker put to sleep. She made him comfortable and let me stay with him. To the guy that gave her 1 star. Shame on you. No vet in Murfreesboro will let you post a a post dated check. Your problem. Not theirs
